Central Park is an 8-acre community park located at the Pittsburg / Antioch Highway Bypass corner and East 14th Street corner. This park features a recreation center with many uses, including many facilities. There is a newly built artificial turf football field, surrounded by an iron gate fence. This soccer field is lighted for day and night play and can be rented out. There’s even a lighted baseball field that’s one of the area’s loveliest. This field is available for day or night rentals too. Central Park has a full-size basketball court with painted lines on the court and a special anti-slip surface.

Certain facilities include two horseshoe pits, drinking fountains, snake lounge, showers, open turf play areas, and a parking lot for 50 vehicles. There is a large picnic site (capacity 100) with picnic tables, BBQ pits, lights, and the big Fruitless Mulberry trees are naturally shaded. This picnic site is on leases. Central Park has two major play areas, one with a tot lot playground for 2-5 years and the other with a major playground for 5-12 years. The site is flat overall, has good circulation connecting every element and a view of the hills on the south side. This park connects with a pedestrian sky bridge that spans the Pittsburg / Antioch Highway Bypass to Columbia Linear Park.

Nice shaded park area next to a baseball diamond with plenty of parking. The super cute park that is far enough away from the street and parking lot to keep the little ones safe. Plenty of mature shade trees too. Nice park for family bonding.

It is also a great place to go with the little ones! A few months ago they added new bark to both play structures. They have a gated soccer field which gets used probably every night. And a clean basketball court. Drop the kids off at the playground and literally run circles around them on the walking path!
