ABOUT THE PARK

Concord Skate Park is located at the intersection of Cowell Road and San Miguel Avenue, near the Monument Boulevard. This state-of-the-art 14,000 square feet facility was built by skaters for skaters. For all abilities the various elements deliver challenges and tricks. Skateboards, roller skates, inline skates and hand scooters are all very welcome. It also needs proper safety equipment.

HOURS OF OPERATION

When School is in Session: 1:30 p.m. to Dusk

During School Breaks: 8 a.m. to Dusk

Weekends: 8 a.m. to Dusk

The Skate Park is closed to the general public when instructional camps or clinics are in session during the summer, varying from weekday hours. The Skate Park may also be closed for special events or at the discretion of Concord Police for rule violations.

Use regulations/prohibited activities
  1. No sports equipment of any sort shall be used in the Concord Skatepark spectator area
  2. No sports equipment of any kind other than skateboards, inline skates, roller skates, scooters and bicycles shall be used, used or carried into the Concord Skatepark’s activity area
  3. Bicycles shall not be used or ridden within the Concord Skatepark’s activity area, except during the specified hours to be posted at the skatepark
  4. Skateboards, inline skates, roller skates and scooters shall not be used or ridden in the Concord Skatepark activity area during the hours posted when bicycle use is permitted in the activity area
  5. Pursuant to the provisions of this article and California Health and Safety Code Section 115800(b), all persons using or riding a skateboard, in-line skates, scooters, or roller skates at the Concord Skatepark shall wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads at all times while utilizing such sports equipment
  6. All persons riding a bicycle at the Concord Skatepark must always wear a helmet while using such sporting equipment
  7. No portion of the Concord Skatepark can be changed, altered or incorporated in some way without the Director’s written permission
  8. No person under the age of eight can use the Concord Skatepark activity area, unless accompanied by an adult
  9. No audio equipment can be used or brought into the Concord Skatepark area of activities
  10. No audio equipment may be used or played in the Concord Skatepark spectator area unless it is equipped with and relies solely on earphones for amplification of sound
  11. No person(s) other than approved employees of Concord City and/or their agents or representatives shall enter or use the Concord Skatepark premises in any way except during those hours when the skatepark is open to public use
  12. No food, beverages, bottles (whether plastic or glass) or cans shall be permitted in the activities area of the Concord Skatepark
  13. Glass bottles or canisters are not permitted in the Concord Skatepark spectator area
  14. Drugs, alcohol, smoking or tobacco products are not allowed or to be consumed in any area of the Concord Skatepark
  15. No knives, weapons or arms of any kind in any part of the Concord Skatepark are permitted
  16. The director is allowed to post additional rules as required for the operation of the Concord Skatepark, the violation of which is punishable in accordance with section 4.15.040 of this Article
