Blackhawk Plaza

Blackhawk Plaza is the East Bay’s premier shopping and dining destination featuring an aquatic landscaped interior courtyard with terraced shopping and dining establishments.

Blackhawk Plaza is a complete remodeling of a partially enclosed center inspired by the Mediterranean villages of the south of France and the center of America. The repositioning refined the existing lake, water features and landscaping by incorporating play areas, a beach and a deck to provide picnic and recreation opportunities. Unique amenities such as fireplaces, waterfalls and fountains create a dramatic atmosphere for all visitors.

It’s an outdoor mall with a pond that makes the beauty factor go up a notch. It’s a very peaceful and pleasant place to take a stroll. It’s also upscale and gorgeous-all the malls around the US that are going out of business should take note of how things could be built to attract more people. Some events may be a good excuse to drop by if you’re not living nearby. It’s a great place to bring the whole family and the window shop a little.

Blackhawk Plaza is a very nice renovated shopping centre. There are tons of outdoor seating to the lounge, family dining, pet friendly, kid friendly (small playground), a really nice pond / fountain flowing through the shopping center, and a handful of restaurants that all have outdoor seating to enjoy the property. If you have time before or after a theater movie across the parking lot, it’s a must to bring your date, family or friends here. It’s nice and refreshing just walking through.

This small outdoor mall has a variety of restaurants, shops and children’s friendly activities. It’s definitely a great place that’s contained and safe for kids to enjoy the ducks, play the ground and ride the kiddie area. It might not be the best place to go shopping, but it’s a great place to hang out with your kids and friends.

It has a great play structure, the Blackhawk Car Museum and the Studio Grow (educational open play area). You can also join this Blackhawk kids club (more for older kids though) that lets you take part in a variety of activities on the plaza all year round.

Aside from the kids stuff, it’s a great date night spot-with movie theaters & a variety of restaurants like Roti 8 (new chicken rotisserie), Blackhawk Grille (newly renovated), and more. There used to be a place for Tuti Fruti, but they closed recently. Lots of high end shops and boutiques as well-Anthropology, Apricots, etc. The location of Blackhawk Plastic Surgery is right next to Starbucks for anyone looking for a little nip / tuck with their latte.
