The Waterfront Park is a park located at 245 North Court Street in Martinez California, 94553. To reach the park, people have to go west on Ferry street and then turn right to Joe Di Maggio Drive then left on North Court street. This 150 acre park has four ballfield complexes with concessions and restrooms, soccer field, picnic areas, playground areas, horse-shoe pits and bocce ball courts, the Marina and fishing Pier. This also has a twelve hundred seat amphitheater and skateboard park.
The waterfront park on the east side has a picnic area for 120 people with four barbecue pits. On the west side of the park has a picnic area good for 180 people with four barbecue pits. The waterfront pavilion can accommodate 60 people with one barbecue pit. There is a large playground good for children and children alike.
For people who want to get more physical, there is a walking and biking trail made available by the management. There is also a greeny and grassy field good for people who want to play sports outdoors.
The waterfront park is nearby the Marina of Martinez. For more than 40 years, Martinez Marina has been supporting boating and fishing enthusiasts. In 1993, the City adopted a Marine Master Plan calling for the upgrade and replacement of the marina. The plans included a new boat launch ramp, deeper water channels for boats in the marina, a new bait shop, a boat storage facility, a waterfront restaurant and more.
Marina ‘s progress to date includes the removal of the old ferry pier, the construction of the Ferry Point Plaza, the launch of the new boat and the initial dredging of the marina entrance.
